Dear Friends of Veterans,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to extend a heartfelt invitation to the Veterans View Intake
Center (VVIC) Winter Jazz Gala, which will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024. This prestigious event
is proudly hosted by Politely Planning and aims to raise funds for the VVIC, a subsidiary of the Shekinah
Resource Foundation 501(c)(3).

The VVIC, located in Mocksville, NC, officially opened its doors on September 20, 2023. Led by Navy
Veteran Kevin Smith, the VVIC was born out of a deliberate vision to address the challenges faced by
veterans like himself after serving in the military. Kevin's personal struggles inspired him to invest a
substantial sum into renovating the 40,000 square-foot campus, which now stands as North Carolina's
only 76-bed coed residence offering medical services and employment support for job preparedness for
our Veterans. Veterans who need rehabilitation, mental health, telemedicine, and housing will have direct
access to these services.

Our goal for the VVIC Winter Jazz Gala is to raise $150,000, which will be dedicated to building an on-site
community of tiny homes and apartments for veterans and their families. This project aims to provide our
veterans with a safe and supportive environment, ensuring they have access to stable housing and the
necessary resources to thrive.

We humbly request your support for a tax-deductible donation of any amount between $1500 to $5,000.
Your generous contribution will directly contribute to the VVIC's initiatives and significantly impact the lives
of our deserving veterans and their families.

Moreover, the VVIC Winter Jazz Gala promises to be an unforgettable evening of elegance,
entertainment, and compassion. The event will take place in the Imperial Ballroom of the prestigious
Sheraton Imperial Hotel, where you will join distinguished guests, active servicemen and servicewomen,
and community leaders. The night will feature captivating live jazz performances by the NC Jazz
Ensemble featuring soloist Denise Barnes, a special presentation by Mr. Kevin Smith, exquisite hors-
d’oeuvres, cocktails, and an auction showcasing unique items and experiences.
